Please join us on Thursday, May 7 from 8-10 p.m. at the Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew in New York for a unique musical experience! Neshama Carlebach, one of the leading superstars in Jewish entertainment, will perform along with the Reverend Roger Hambrick and the Green Pastures Baptist Church Choir. Neshama and her choir are passionate about the cause of hunger and poverty, and are thrilled to be a part of this event. Although the concert is free of charge, we will be accepting free-will donations (food or monetary). All proceeds will benefit the West Side Campaign Against Hunger. Sponsored by the Interfaith Anti-Hunger Directors The Interfaith Anti-Hunger Directors (IFAHD) is a group of directors and senior staff members of major denominations and faith communities in the US who are responsible for the anti-hunger work in their communities. The group has gathered informally in the spring of each year (for over 20 years!) to share educational materials, ideas, hopes, fears, strength, and courage with each other. This year, hosted by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), we are meeting in New York City.
The IFAHD enjoys strong participation from Protestant denominations, the Jewish community, and other faith groups. We
are committed to celebrating successes, sharing what works, and
redoubling our efforts to enable the millions of members in the faith
communities we represent to combat the scandal of hunger in our world. |
